International users registering for the Health Business Services (HBS) portal must complete a one-time identity verification.

This aligns with the Australian Digital ID registration process and helps keep the portal secure, protects your information, and reduces the risk of fraud.

What you need to verify your identity

You will need:

One photo identity document from the accepted list below. We cannot verify documents that do not include a photo.
A mobile device with a camera so you can take a photo of your identity document and a photo of yourself.

Accepted identity documents

We accept the following photo identity documents:

Passport
Driver licence
ID card
Visa
Residence permit
Electoral or voter ID
Passport card

Tips to help your identity verification succeed

To make the process quick and easy, make sure:

Your identity document is not damaged or dirty
You take a photo of the original document (not a printed copy or a screen)
There is no glare on the document
You are not wearing a hat or sunglasses when taking a photo of yourself.
