Health Business Services

Privacy

Your personal information is protected by law under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) (Privacy Act).

The Department of Health, Disability and Ageing (the Department) collects your personal information in the course of performing its functions, including to deliver a platform to access relevant business services via the Health Business Services (HBS) portal. This includes when you register, link a service, contact our HBS Support team or complete a survey. Participation in any survey is completely voluntary.

If you do not provide your personal information, we will be unable to provide you with access to relevant business services via the HBS portal.

In most cases, we will collect your personal information directly from you. Where we collect personal information about you from a third party (for example, to verify your identity) we will only do so with your consent or as authorised by law.

The Department will not disclose your personal information to any overseas recipients outside of your organisation without your consent.

More information about how we handle personal information, including how you can contact the Department and make a complaint or seek access to and amend your personal information can be found in our privacy policy.

For information about how each business service will handle your personal information, refer to the relevant privacy notice for that service.
