Manage your user profile

Your user profile is your personal profile in the HBS portal. You must have a user profile to access services in the portal.

What you can update

In your user profile, you can update:

  • Title
  • Preferred name
  • Contact number
  • Contact email

You will be able to change your full name later in 2026.

How we use your contact details

The contact details in your user profile are:

  • separate from any contact details you provide for accounts (organisations) you represent in services
  • only used to contact you about HBS portal-related matters, such as sign in issues

Your contact email must be an email address that only you can access.

To access your user profile from the HBS home page:

  • select Update your profile under the welcome message, or
  • select the menu in the top right corner of the portal and choose User profile.

Edit your user profile

To update your details:

  1. On the Your user profile page, select Edit next to the section you want to update:
    • Your name
    • Your contact number
    • Your contact email
  2. Update the relevant field(s), then select Update.
  3. You will return to the Your user profile page. A Success message will confirm your details have been updated.

Verify a new contact email address

If you change your contact email, you must verify the new email address before the update is saved. Your contact email must be an email address that only you can access.

Steps:

  1. On the Your user profile page, select Edit next to Your contact email.
  2. Enter the new email address in the Contact email field and select Verify email.
  3. We will send a verification code to the new email address.
  4. Enter the verification code in the Verification code field and select Verify code.
  5. A Success message will confirm the email address has been verified.
  6. Select Update to confirm the change. You will return to the Your user profile page, where the new contact email will be displayed.

If you do not receive the verification email:

  • check your spam or junk folder
  • select Send new code to receive another email

If the email address you entered is incorrect, select Change email to enter the correct address and try again.
